You need to be genuinely sheltered living under the rock of total denial to not notice the chaos that is our country these days. Take your pick from the variety of issues that seem to plague the vast majority of us. From rampant inflation to a wide open border, this place is almost unrecognizable.
What would it take to pull us out of this epic tailspin? Are any amounts of effort or reform even enough? Can we rise from the ashes and rebuild this shattered beacon of freedom? We would like to think we can, but it sure isn’t going to be easy.
Let’s discuss the career politicians. Those who embed themselves in the system and work only for their own personal gain and not for the will of the people they are supposed to serve. These are the elected officials that are supposed to carry our wants and needs all the way to the big show in DC. Yet, they seem to consistently let us all down. Limiting the terms in which these individuals can serve seems like a very logical starting point.
Our country and its citizens ultimately need to realize we are not enemies. The lines drawn between us are strategically drawn by those who want only power and control. The moment we all stand up and come together as a society, putting aside the differences we have been led to believe exist, is the day this country will rise from the ashes and reclaim greatness.
