Buckle up for this one. There is a theory that history repeats itself in specific blocks of time. Each with its own distinct relevance and all leading up to a great reset. According to this theory, we are now in the fourth turning as a society. Let’s take a look at each and see just where all this could be headed.
Within this framework, the first turning is always one of expansion and growth. This is a prosperous time and things feel pretty great. It is followed by the awakening. A time of exploration and rebellion. Think the 60’s. Where you can feel the change in the air and people are thinking in ways they never used to.
We then enter the phase of unraveling. Society begins to buckle under its own weight and the free thought that brought so much enlightenment, now just overshadows critical thinking and political correctness overshadows rational behavior. Everyone is on edge and the future feels very unsure.
The last phase in this theory is the crisis. This is the fourth turning where society passes through the point of no return and the system begins to collapse. We see throughout our history this repeating pattern. Nobody knows exactly what the future holds. But, when we look at the mistakes of the past, we can get a better understanding of where we are headed.
