This is a sensitive topic for many, but should it be? Gender roles within a household are the foundation for a strong family. We will explore these roles in this article as they pertain to the common nuclear family. Something that is evidently under attack.
We are not advocating for some archaic misogynistic point of view. Just that defining these roles within the family structure creates a stable environment. Stability is something that has taken a backseat to this push to redefine gender roles and even gender itself.
Traditional family values work. This applies best to a family scenario with children involved. Not necessarily a couple without children. So, for the sake of this article we will concentrate on that. There is a word that has taken on so many negative connotations. That word is housewife. Yet, this is by far one of the most under appreciated roles a woman can accept. It is a full time gig that provides the cornerstone of a stable family life.
It is a very difficult thing in today’s world to maintain this dynamic within your home. With a constant barrage of anti-nuclear family rhetoric being slammed down our throats. We understand the importance of these roles and how they help mold well adjusted kids. That is the most important job anyone can have.
