It is no big secret there is a divide in this country. Those who love our freedom and wish to preserve the values of the founding fathers and those who actively work to destroy it. What Donald J. Trump represents to people deeply depends on what side of the political spectrum that individual lands. Love him or hate him, he stands for the freedom this country deserves.
Now that the literal bullets have flown, we are reminded how fragile this life is. At any moment the flames of freedom can be snuffed out. Yet, standing at death's door in the midst of chaos, former President Trump hoists a fists above his now bloodied head and defiantly leads the charge to continue to fight.
The message is clear now. Stop Trump at any cost, even the lives of innocent civilians. Where is all the tolerance and acceptance that has been preached? Lines are being drawn right now that need not be. This escalation never needed to happen and should never have. We are all living through a monumental moment in time.
There is no doubt things could have gone very differently. This could have just as easily been an obituary announcement rather than the close call it was. We thank God he protected former President Trump from this attack. We pray for his safety and for the families of those who were lost. God Bless America.
