We have entered a new phase in our country's history. We do not have a democracy to defend. We live in a Constitutional Republic. One established that ensures inalienable rights and freedom to every American citizen. These lines that were clearly drawn are seemingly getting blurred.
When the United States Justice Department(s) are weaponized for political gain, the entire landscape of this country changes. As justice is supposed to be blind, when used for political gain we the people lose faith in the entire system.
Regardless of the political stance taken and what side of the partisan fence you graze on, what is happening currently is an injustice. Two sets of rules have been established governing those in power and those who aren’t. This is not a fair political arena, especially in an election year.
Americans must stand up and see this treachery for what it is. It turns this fine country into a Banana Republic from which returning will be a challenging journey. This is no longer an issue of popularity. It is not about who you like or agree with more politically. It's about the future of this country as a free nation where political adversaries compete on the relevance of their policies and the merits of their actions. We pray for this country’s future.
